Lingfield betting tips: Hey Ho Let’s Go with Marion’s Boy for double each-way value

There’s a competitive card at Lingfield on Tuesday evening, and our friends at Tipstrr have run their numbers to provide us with a couple of their most popular picks.

19:35 Lingfield: Follow AttheRaces on Twitter Handicap (5 furlongs)

Three-time course-and-distance winner Grandfather Tom is the firm favourite to land this five-furlong sprint, but his short price looks vulnerable under a four-pound penalty following his win at Nottingham just two days ago.

With some major bookmakers happy to pay out on three places for this seven-runner handicap, that brings bottom-weight Hey Ho Let's Go into the equation.
This seven-year-old gelding is also a three-time winner over this very trip, all three coming in the space of a month last spring, and he proved he is not just a horse for a course by also winning at Newbury last June.

He has yet to scale those heights in four outings so far in 2023, but he should be race fit now, and Raoul da Silva might just be able to coax him into those three places.

Suggested best bet: Hey Ho Let’s Go each-way in the 19:35 at Lingfield

20:45 Lingfield: Download The AtTheRaces App Handicap (1 mile 4 furlongs)

With favourite Glenister touching even money, there's plenty of scope for each-way value elsewhere, and top weight Marion's Boy looks well worth a closer look under the in-form Jim Crowley.

Although winless in 15 outings since 2021, this six-year-old gelding has triumphed four times around the Lingfield track and shaped up better when runner-up on the all-weather here in late March.

With the market spread wide open beyond the short-priced favourite, Marion's Boy might just be flying under the bookies' radar here as he could have every chance if back to his best.

Suggested best bet: Marion’s Boy each-way in the 20:45 at Lingfield
