Goodwood best value betting tip: Araminta primed for step up in trip

Tipstrr’s team of racing pundits work independently, but many have come to the same conclusion that Araminta has been prepped to feature prominently in one of the biggest races of the day at Goodwood.
15:00 Goodwood: William Hill Height Of Fashion Stakes (1 mile 2 furlongs)
The early favourite for this fillies race is Veil Of Shadows, who won on her all-weather debut in February, came third at Ascot 23 days ago and must be taken seriously with William Buick booked to ride.
Strongly fancied to run her close, however, is Henry Candy's Araminta, who also won impressively on her season debut at Newbury, before finishing a close-up third, less than a length off the winner, on this track three weeks ago.
Both of those races were contested on heavy going over seven furlongs and a mile respectively, so it would appear stamina will not be an issue as Araminta progresses to a longer 10-furlong trip on better ground here.
Her connections have clearly been preparing her for middle-distance targets, and if she takes to the faster going she will find here, then she could have a big say in the outcome over the final stretch.
