Clonmel each-way racing tip: Stage seems set for Dancing Jeremy

Each-way specialist Richard Hutchinson, who runs Read Between The Lines on Tipstrr, has cast his eye across the Irish Sea to pick out his best value bet from Thursday evening's meeting at Clonmel.

Dancing Jeremy looks like an interesting contender in this apparent run-of-the-mill handicap hurdle.
This eight-year-old gelding has won twice, once over fences, the other when reverting to hurdles over this course and distance in February last year.
That first win over fences was significant as it was after a change of trainer and a lengthy 414-day absence (postmarking 112 and winning easily), so he clearly goes well fresh.
The hurdles win was two runs later off a mark of 99 when he went off favourite, winning it snugly and looking like he would progress to a 120+ rated horse.

However, he was surprisingly moved on to Ian O'Connor in 2022, which seemed a questionable decision, as an acceptable debut (after nine months off) was followed by two toiling efforts.
This was hardly a surprise as Ian O'Connor hasn't had a winner for 5 years, so thankfully Dancing Jeremy has been passed on again, this time to James Andrew Fahey, who has trained winners for the owner before, including after a break.
Today Dancing Jeremy pitches up off a mini-break of four months, making his debut for his new yard and so there are striking similarities in preparation for his previous win.
Donagh Meyer is a good jockey at these lesser tracks and running off 104, just five pounds above his previous success gives me plenty of confidence in his ability to win this, especially coming fresh.
Considering his chances we were glad to be able to back him at 33/1 (and five places), which looks like great value considering how much that price has dropped since, he is still worth a point each-way even at half thaose odds.
