Cheltenham Festival 2023: Kim Muir tips - Royal Thief can steal the show

The last race of any Cheltenham Festival day always has something of an anticlimactic feel, but the Kim Muir seldom disappoints, and offers the chance to round off the afternoon with a winning bet.

Run every year since the end of World War II, the The Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup is where our best amateur jockeys get their chance for Cheltenham Festival glory.

Four of the first five home last year were priced 33/1 or higher, including the 40/1 winner Chambard, so it's clear that the winner could come from anywhere.

That is reflected by Tipstrr's two most popular selections both coming from outside the top five in the betting, and both being recommended each-way, with Royal Thief catching the eye after landing a 10-runner handicap by a cool 10-length margin two months ago.

Top tip: Royal Thief
Equally popular and at a similar price is Rapper who enjoyed two wins over fences last season and added another success over this course and distance on New Year's Day.
He was also far from disgraced when coming fifth of 12 in stronger company at Sandown last month, and he could well be competitive again here.
Each-way popular punt: Rapper
