ECLAIR VITALITY (4) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at his second outing when prominent at the bend, finishing 0.7 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 6f at Scone. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. HERE COMES HOGAN (1) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 5f at this track. Well placed this line-up and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. RIP OFF (5) returns after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 7½f at Hawkesbury. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Warwick Farm trial. Rates highly and is a chance to break through. RICKYTHESTEAMBOAT (15) is fitter for two runs back from a lay-off, progressing nicely last time to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths, at Canberra Acton over 5f87yards. Backmarker who keeps coming. A big run is expected.
