BERNAY (5) is a nine-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at her last couple of runs, most recently when half a length away in second over 5f at Wagga. Going well enough to test this field. FALL OF ROME (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Warrnambool, beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. ANGEL OF SPRING (4) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and stalked the lead before fading to finish fourth over 7f65yards at Queanbeyan. Must be included among the main hopes.
