MONTE DRIFTER (5) finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in sixth last start over 6f at Ipswich, an improvement on his 12th at Coffs Harbour the run before. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. RUN RORY RUN (1) was sent out favourite but could only finish fifth over 6¼f at Kempsey last time. Prior to that had been racing well, collecting two minor placings on end. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Likely to feature. NEVADA SMOKE (8) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 6¼f at Kempsey, finishing second and beaten a long neck when she made late ground. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. LAIZABOUT (14) went forward and proved too strong on debut last start, scoring with 6 lengths to spare over 5f at Taree. Can sneak into the finish again.
