STAR CASINO (5) finished second last time out over this course and distance, travelling towards the tail before winding up strongly in the dying stages. Has a strong record here at this journey with two wins from four runs. Leading contender. IOANE (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at Mornington, beaten 3 lengths into sixth. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. BLAKMAX (1) did little and finished 10 lengths from the winner in 12th over 7f at Pakenham last start after being in contention on the corner, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Caulfield Heath the run before. Has the class to figure prominently. HOLDER MAID (6) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 7 lengths back in fourth over 7½f at this track. Cannot be underestimated.
