VEGAS ON FIRE (9) held on well to finish third when when resuming from a break last time out over 7¼f at Kilmore after leading for much of the way. Rates highly and will be hard to peg back. PHANTOM PRINCE (3) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 6f at this track. Best form puts him right in this. SHAY'S WAY (7) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 7f90yards at Kyneton last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Ararat the run before. Nicely placed to take this out. TIGHT GRIP (4) produced another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7½f at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
