ARVERNI PRINCESS (10) was unlucky not to have won her last start over 1000 metres on this course. She had no luck around the turn that day and it is best to rule a line through that effort. She is nicely placed to make amends in this. SPIRITED FLIGHT (6) fought on gamely when second over this distance on the polytrack here last start. She is in a good space and with a light weight of 54 kilos to carry this time, she is one of the leading contenders. ASPOESTERTJIE (5) has not been too far away lately. Her best form has been under Serino Moodley, who returns to the saddle, and the pair merit healthy respect. MISSION ROCKS (4) had an excuse first time out and also probably needed the run. She was in winning form prior to her spell and with a run under her belt, she should finish much closer. Don't drop her just yet.
