SHOT OF WHISKEY (1) raced on the speed and kept going to score by a head last time out over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Will take advantage of the good draw. Looks well placed so expect another big run. ARTIE BEATSOME (4) was having his first run for the Nick Keal team last start when he made steady ground to run into second over 5¼f at Toowoomba at the first run back from a lay-off. Strong performer when second up with two wins and one minor placings from four attempts. Looks a great chance in this suitable contest. THE LUCKY ALIEN (3) did a good job last start to finish third at this track over 4f, beaten 1.2 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Measures up nicely on best figures and has the blinkers removed. Worth keeping safe. NEW JOY (6) finished seventh over 7½f at Eagle Farm at her most recent appearance on March 16. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
