MEHRETU (1) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race when resuming from a lay-off last time out over 6f at Doomben, finishing second and beaten a long neck. Has the ability to build on that encouraging effort last start. CHILPUR (5) broke through for her maiden win over 5½f at Gatton last time, scoring comfortably. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and she is right in the mix again. IMMEDIATE (2) finished third last start over 5f at Eagle Farm when she worked home well, beaten 2. 5 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so she will be hard to beat. MARATHIA (8) had been racing well before she was safely held last time out when ninth over 5½f at Gold Coast Poly. One of the contenders with the blinkers added.
