FINAL COUNTDOWN (11) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6½f at Echuca, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. KING ZEPHYR (2) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 6½f at Bendigo five months ago and has not been produced since. Key runner.
