TIMBAVATI RIVER (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Fairview, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. EYJAFJALLAJOKULL (4) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished tenth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Fairview then improved and scored over 6f at this track five weeks ago, getting home by one length. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to cope. ATKINSON GRIMSHAW (3) resumes in a similar race to his last run nine weeks ago when sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. SCAMPTON (5) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 4 lengths away in fifth over 1m at Fairview. Better than recent efforts suggest.
