A mouthwatering clash between the one-two of this last year in JAN BRUEGHEL (5) and CALANDAGAN (2). Slender preference is for the former where team Coolmore will be looking to make this a tactical affair and that could prove key. This 2024 G1 St Leger winner enjoyed the perfect prep winning the G3 Ormonde Stakes at Chester last month and that will put him spot on for this while the latter hasn't looked back since defeat in this last year and is officially the best horse in the world following five-straight G1 wins. Francis-Henri Graffard trains the G1 Japan Cup hero who arrives in the form of his life and will evidently make a huge bid to gain revenge.
