BELLA PIETRA (11) looks to kick off this prep the way she ended the last a year ago when she scored over 7f at Pakenham. Looks ready to run a big race following four recent trials. A bold showing is expected. KOOLATAH QUEEN (14) showed good early speed from the inside draw when resuming last start before finishing second over 6f at Mornington. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. JAMESJOHNO (4) generally runs well fresh after placing in city grade at Sandown-Hillside over 6½f. Fitter for placing in a recent Ararat trial. Runs fairly well when fresh. Strong record with Declan Bates in the irons, including a win. Capable of running a bold race. BARARI (8) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Geelong two starts back then got the job done by 1. 3 lengths as favourite last time out over 6f at Pakenham. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well.
