Here's a bit more detail on our highlighted tips below.

15.00 Newcastle - Three Platoon

Three Platoon has been a shrewd purchase by the Rebecca Menzies stable.

There may be more improvement forthcoming from the four-year-old as he goes further up in trip in the Betway Handicap after an authoritative victory at Wolverhampton last month.

Raised 3lb for his most recent victory over course and distance, Riggsby can give him most to think about along with Mukha Magic, who has been runner-up on his last three outings.

Formerly with Tony Martin, The Mouse Doctor is another who could get involved after a promising debut for new connections over fences.

16.00 Newcastle - Tyrrhenian Sea

Tyrrhenian Sea can follow up his debut success at Newcastle three weeks ago when he returns to the Gosforth Park track for the MansionBet Proud Partners AWC Novice Stakes.

The Roger Varian-trained gelding travelled strongly all the way when comfortably beating Alrehb by a length and three-quarters on his belated racecourse bow.

With more experience under his belt, he could go on to better things in 2022.

16.30 Newcastle - Magic Gem

Magic Gem can get off the mark at the seventh attempt in the MansionBet Beaten By A Head Classified Stakes.

The David Brown-trained gelding put up arguably his best performance to date when third to Vintage Polly in a handicap over this mile in mid-October.

The application of first-time blinkers almost worked the oracle that day and a repeat of that effort would see the son of Garswood go close.

Stand Free was not disgraced on her most recent outing at Southwell, while Trevie Fountain is another who is capable of making the frame in this race.
