Thursday’s Sandown racing tips: The Whipmaster a cracking pick for Gary Moore

A fine evening’s racing at Sandown on Thursday, May 26 and Planet Sport have a select six picks from Surrey. The Whipmaster can lick the rest.

Click on Planet Sport's Live Race Centre for a one-stop-shop of all the racing information you could need, including race cards.

We've got a quick reference list for Planet Sport's six picks from Sandown here.

The Whipmaster (17.40 Sandown)

Tajalla (18.15 Sandown)

Thunderous (18.50 Sandown)
Bay Bridge (19.25 Sandown)
Inigo Jones (20.00 Sandown)

Sip And Smile (20.35 Sandown)

Plus there's some more information on our three main picks that can have you ecstatic in Esher.

17.40 Sandown - The Whipmaster

Top jockey Ryan Moore teams up with pop to ride The Whipmaster in the Coral "Beaten-By-A-Length" Free Bet Handicap.

The Mastercraftsman gelding warmed up for this with a solid distance win at Lingfield on the all-weather earlier in the month.

Possessing plenty of potential at this level, Ryan Moore should get things done at the business end.

18.15 Sandown - Tajalla

Newmarket trainer Roger Varian can make it a successful trip to Surrey with Tajalla in the Coral National Stakes.

A distance victor on debut, the Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum two-year-old was a ready winner at HQ beating the Johnston's subsequent winner Fragrance by nearly three lengths.

Andrea Atzeni takes the reins with Tajalla looking to make quick work of the five furlongs before an ultimate engagement in the Weatherbys Scientific £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes in September.

20.35 Sandown - Sip And Smile

There will be plenty sipping and smiling at Sandown on the cocktails on Thursday evening.

George Boughey's Sip And Smile should go down well too with punters in the Play Coral "Racing-Super-Series" For Free Handicap.

The up and coming Newmarket handler is sending out plenty of quality animals and this three-year-old can step up from a seven furlong win at Doncaster, where the winning distance should have been more than a length but for being hampered at the start.
