13.50 Newbury - Invite

Pete has found some alluring value in the form of Invite in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes.

Andrew Balding's four-year-old was a winner of a listed race at Chester in September and Pete reckons conditions could be just about perfect.
Here's a couple of the reasons why Pete thinks that Invite could be sending out an RSVP for a win.
"This is a horse who I saw at Chester back in September, was blown away by the performance, winning superbly that day by two lengths. I think we're going to see a repeat of that run, that was a similar trip to this one, similar ground as well."
"Last time around at Ascot didn't run well but I think that field was just too good for this horse on that day with perhaps an under par performance. So this time around, Invite is undoubtedly my star pick of the Saturday."

14.25 Newbury - Symphony Perfect

Richard Hannon's Symphony Perfect can strike a chord reckons Pete in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes.

Hannon is a seven furlongs specialist and can tease some improvement from this last time out Newmarket winner.
Here's a snapshot of why Pete is backing Symphony Perfect to build to a crescendo.
"Now won at Newmarket on the most recent run back in October, running very very well that day. The form before that had been a little bit spotty, some third and fourth place finishes at the likes of York and Redcar."
"The previous run here at Newbury was at decent one, run in the 22 runner Wetherbys Sprint Stakes action and ran on very well indeed, finished second that day so likes this track and I think in bigger field has tended to look more comfortable."
"This time around though, I think this horse has got a great each-way play in a race that I think a couple of the favourites could be chinned in."

15.00 Newbury - Flaming Rib

Flaming Rib can be a saucy pick in the Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes.

Now trained by Hugo Palmer after Tom Dascombe left Manor House Stables, Flaming Rib is chasing the five-timer.
Here is why Pete has put Flaming Rib on the menu.
"Has won five races in a row, has been absolutely sensational but admittedly over a shorter trip and on top of that in much lower class."
"Having said that, the performances have been good and plenty of the wins have come fairly comfortably, so I was really interested in Flaming Rib each-way…I think each-way this horse could provide some really decent value."
