15.45 Haydock - Moss Gill

Pete is swerving the lure of Winter Power in the Cazoo Temple Stakes and siding with Edward Bethell's Moss Gill in the Cazoo Temple Stakes.

Moss Gill has racked up a series of decent seconds and is a distance winner to boot.
Here's a snippet of why Pete thinks Moss Gill can be a grower.
"Moss Gill each-way looks great value, why? Was second at Newbury last time around, second here at Haydock in the Achilles Stakes last year and then after that second in the York City Walls Stakes too."
"This is a horse who isn't quite getting the wins but is putting enough second places to make each-way look like very good value indeed."

14.35 Whoputafiftyinyou

The unbeaten record of Clive Cox's Whoputafiftyinyou is tempting Pete in the Cazoo Silver Bowl Handicap.

The three-year-old Twilight Son colt most recently took a Class 2 seven furlong race at Newbury and will step up to the mile for the first time.
David Probert is up top and here are a few of the reasons why Pete thinks Whoputafiftyinyou is worth a pound or two.
"Three back-to-back career wins coming into this including winning on debut at Haydock, going on to win at Kempton and Newbury after that."
"Now this is a horse that I think has got a great chance in a field that flatters to deceive a little bit. Loves the trip, in great form and at the time of recording, quite a big price."

15.10 Haydock - Flaming Rib

Hugo Palmer has taken over at Michael Owen's stables and Flaming Rib looks a juicy pick in the Cazoo Sandy Lane Stakes.

Has achieved five wins in the last six races, including a last time out win at local track Chester.
James Doyle takes the reins and here is why Pete is getting stuck into Flaming Rib.
"Five wins from the last six appearances including winning at Class 1 action over at Doncaster over a very similar trip indeed."
"I was going through this field and thinking that every single horse had things for it and things against it. This one has only things for it. For me Flaming Rib is a great third option on a very good looking day at Haydock."
