October 15 Racing Tips: Intriguing Lady an eye-catcher at Newcastle

Pete Farries is back with some tasty video tips for the night meeting at Newcastle on Friday, October 15. Someone call Tommo as there's an Intriguing Lady in the 6.30...

Planet Sport tipster Pete has a penchant for Newcastle and has a trio of tips at the toon track. We start with a George Boughey runner sent on the long journey from Newmarket to the North East.

Peripeteia (6.00 Newcastle)

Intriguing Lady (6.30 Newcastle)

Muatadel (7.00 Newcastle)

6.00 Newcastle - Peripeteia

In the Auction Stakes, Pete likes the look of the George Boughey trained Peripeteia who is sent from Newmarket to Newcastle.

Peripeteia finished a solid second at Kempton on debut over a mile and now tries the shorter seven furlongs.

Daniel Muscatt gets the leg up.

Here is a snippet of why of why Peripeteia can pop at Newcastle.

"Peripeteia very good on debut on the Polytrack at Kempton last time around, finished second, having gone off at an absolutely massive price. Will be a bit shorter this time around but I think has a great chance of victory, despite the switch to the all-weather.

There's a couple in this race that could be some danger but Peripeteia just jumps out again and again".

6.30 Newcastle - Intriguing Lady

Mark Johnston sends Intriguing Lady to Newcastle and Pete is suitably interested to make the filly his second tip of the night.

A fifth last time out at Wolverhampton can be seen as reasonable all-weather prep and Pete trusts Johnston to bring the two-year-old on in this handicap.

Here's a snap-shot of why Pete is curious about Intriguing Lady.

"Drops to Class 6 after some pretty poor performances, the best was a fourth of six a couple of weeks back. One that perhaps, hasn't so far, lived up to pedigree. Should be a great deal higher, certainly bred to be a great deal higher than Class 6 action…

I do think Intriguing Lady looks interesting here in a field full of runners who aren't in much form and actually many aren't showing a great deal.

7.00 Newcastle - Muatadel

Pete is going with a last time out winner who also has course and distance form for his final pick of the night.

John Wainwright's charge won a five furlong sprint at Pontefract on September 23 and Pete fancies him to follow up over the extended six furlongs here.

Apprentice Zak Wheatley, gets the ride and claims seven pounds.

Here's a slice of why Muatadel can make Pete happy in his last tip from Newcastle.

"Muatadel for the Wainwright yard, is going to be my favourite bet in this one, had some good performances recently, the likes of Thirsk, at Redcar and at Ayr and is a previous course and distance winner.

Off the back at victory at Pontefract over a slightly shorter trip last time around as well, I think this is the one to watch."
