Raging Bull (10.20 Del Mar)

Private Mission (11.00 Del Mar)

Tripoli (12.40 Del Mar)

There's some really knockout talent in the Breeders' Cup Mile but Pete starts with a horse named after the famous film based on Jake LaMotta's life. Raging Bull can strike a blow at punchy odds.

Breeders' Cup Mile (10.20) - Raging Bull

The sheer talent on display at Del Mar means that horses with bigger odds have more than a puncher's chance and Pete is keen on the Chad Brown trained Raging Bull in the Mile.

The six-year-old was victorious at Keeneland for the Maker's Mark Mile in April and posted a creditable third last time out at Woodbine under Frankie Dettori.

Here's a snippet of why Pete thinks Raging Bull can have his opponents on the ropes.

"Raging Bull is a really good runner, although being retired to stud here after this one. Could add an extra couple of dollars with a win here on that. But I just think the price is just way too big on Raging Bull, was a Grade 1 winner in the Hollywood Derby here back in 2018.

Recent form including with Frankie Dettori on board last time around, has been a little bit shakier but this is still a runner who has gone well over a hundred on Beyer speed figures previously and is an impressive, impressive sort."

Breeders Cup Distaff (11.00) - Private Mission

Bob Baffert has entered the 2021 Breeders' Cup under a cloud but Pete is convinced that Private Mission can rain down winnings.

Chasing a four-timer, the Into Mischief filly, won by two and a half lengths last time out in the Grade 2 Zenyatta Stakes.

Here's just a couple of the factors that can make Private Mission's Breeders' Cup plans come to fruition.

"Was a winner at Grade 3, and by a long old way two runs back, then won the Zenyatta last time around at Grade 2. Keeps the Flavien Prat ride, which is a massive, massive victory and of course we know how good Flavien Prat can be."

"There are one or two runners you could consider each-way, including Horologist for Bill Mott.

No trainer has won this race as many times as Bill Mott. You shouldn't necessarily back Horologist to win but certainly there could be some each-way value at a massive price."

Breeders' Cup Classic (12.40) - Tripoli

Pete is not shying away from the big one at Del Mar, nor from a horse with tremendous value in Tripoli.

A consistent sort for John Sadler, Tripoli was successful at Del Mar as recently as August in the Grade 1 Pacific Classic Stakes.

Irad Ortiz Jr gets the leg up and the following are just a couple of reasons why Pete believes the green and white silks will put up a fight in the Classic.

"I am stunned on the massive price of the John Sadler runner Tripoli, will be running on the inside and will absolutely love that. Has had some really good recent performances at Del Mar, a second and a first.

Ran ok in the Awesome Again last time, but won the San Diego H and and the Pacific Classic more importantly was won here…

I just keep looking at Tripoli and the price and being stunned by the value".
