Monster Bet: Legendary priced Ulysses to travel strongly at Huntingdon

A last time out winner with an epic name provides Tuesday’s Trojan horse of an outsider bet over hurdles at Huntingdon.

Ulysses can prove a Trojan horse at big odds in this open contest.

4.15 Huntingdon - Ulysses

Although the Derek Shaw trained Ulysses was an unlikely 10/1 winner last time out at Worcester, he won by a handsome five lengths.

The trainer reported that the horse was suited by the step back in trip so this two mile, three and a half furlong outing should be right up Ulysses strasse.

The Sinndar seven year-old had shown a bit of form, finishing second at Uttoxeter in June so the Worcester win wasn't entirely out of the blue.

It'll be hit and miss whether Huntingdon gets a downpour on Tuesday and Shaw's charge will prefer the showers stay away.

Still, Ulysses can put his strong travelling to good use and perform in excess of his generous odds.
