Friday's York racing tips: Arousing to provide stiff opposition for William Haggas

To York on Friday, June 10 and Planet Sport tipster Pete Farries has had his interest piqued by William Haggas’ Arousing.

Here's a quick reference list of Pete's trio of tasty picks from York.
Brancaster (14.00 York)
Valiant Prince (15.30 York)
Arousing (15.00 York)
Watch the video or read the text (or both) and you'll have a good heads up on the York action.

15.30 York - Valiant Prince

Pete reckons that this one will turn up spring heeled and with a hot cup of coffee ready to seize the day after a bad day at the office last time out.

Charlie Appleby's Dubawi gelding is clearly a talented animal and can live up to some of his UAE form after a lung opener last time at Ascot.

James Doyle gets the ride and here's why Pete thinks fortune favours the brave for Valiant Prince backers in the Seat Unique Ganton Stakes.

"Some really good performances over at Meydan, returned to Ascot last time and let down a lot of favourite backers. Went off 10/11 that day and finished fourth of four at Ascot."
"I think this horse is going to bounce back from that, at the time of recording the second favourite, right now this horse loves this trip, is very very good and we can all forgive a bad day at the office."

14.00 York - Brancaster

Literally no idea why this one has been named after the Norfolk seaside village but Pete thinks Brancaster can wash away the opposition in the Constant Security Handicap.

The Brian Ellison runner has been nice and consistent on the all-weather and picked up a good win at Newcastle last time out.
Matt Brown takes off five pounds in this race for amateur jockeys and here's why Pete thinks Brancaster can go in like a pro.
"Hasn't run brilliantly on turf previously, the run at Nottingham last year was the most recent turf run. Did finish last year really really well though off the turf, a couple of really good performances at Newcastle, including a win towards the end of the year."

"This is the first 2022 run of this horse who I think, in this field, has a decent chance of getting into the frame, particularly at the price.

15.00 York - Arousing

Pete is not put off Arousing being a little limp in the betting, having full faith in William Haggas' charge.

A reasonable performer on the all-weather, Arousing did claim a nice win at Kempton in March.

Daniel Tudhope gets the ride in the British EBF Supporting Racing With Pride Fillies' Handicap and here is a snippet of what Pete thinks Arousing can catch the attention.

"This is an interesting horse because, hasn't won on turf pretty much since this last time last year and not run brilliantly in that period. However, then did run well, won, second and another win at Newcastle. This is a horse who actually has proven to like the ground a great deal."
I think this one is massively underrated in this action."
