Epsom Oaks News: Royal Millennium could be force to be reckoned with for Tom Clover

Tom Clover's Rogue Millennium has been supplemented for the Epsom Oaks on June 3 at a cost of £35,000.

Tom Clover's Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Rogue Millennium is set to be supplemented for the fillies' Class at Epsom on June 3.

The Dubawi filly is unbeaten in two starts, with an opening win in a Wetherby novice takes where the filly stayed on for a one and a half lengths win.

Rogue Millennium then went to Lingfield for the SBK Oaks Trial Fillies' Stakes and won by a game head in the listed contest.

Owners the Rogues Gallery, impressed by the showing, agreed to club together for the £30,000 supplement fee and will squeak their filly in at a late opportunity.

Rogue Millennium will face a stiff test on the Epsom Downs with John and Thady Gosden's Emily Upjohn a warm favourite for the one mile four furlong contest.
The Gosdens also have a talented female in Nashwa, who takes up second place in the market and it could well be that Rogue Millennium is looking for not inconsiderable place money.

Other contenders include Aidan O'Brien's Concert Hall and Tuesday, Charlie Appleby's With The Moonlight and Joseph Patrick O'Brien's Tranquil Lady.

It's a big step up for the three-year-old who hasn't had much track experience but Newmarket trainer Clover is content with what she is showing at home and believes should could come on from the Trial win.
"Rogue Millennium seems very well, I'm very pleased with her," he said.
"She physically looks great, I think she's come on since Lingfield. She continues to improve and all being well she's very much on course.
"I've been very happy with her, we just hope for a smooth run-up. You know what it's like with horses, until you get there and put the saddle on and get in the paddock, there's so much that could go wrong.
"I'm pleased with her work and we're really excited to run her."
The Epsom Oaks is a Classic race for fillies which will take place at Epsom racecourse on Friday, June 3.
The Group 1 race takes place over a mile and four furlongs and is worth a cool £297,728 to the winner. The race is live on ITV Racing and starts at 16.30
