The selection is the Venetia Williams-trained Grand Turina, a 10-year-old Kayf Tara gelding. Now Kayf Tara's progeny usually love deep ground and this one is no exception.
Having run well before unseating two out over three miles at Wetherby on his penultimate start, he went to Lingfield last time. There, on heavy ground, he dropped back successfully to 2m4f, narrowly beating the favourite Bill And Barn, with eight lengths to spare over the remainder.
He's only gone up 2lb for that win, he is unexposed back over this longer trip and he has conditional jockey Ned Fox's 10lb claim to come off his racing weight, which can prove invaluable.
So Friday's tip is Grand Turina in the 14.15 at Warwick.
