Daily Nap December 29: Russian Sounds like a Kelso winner

Wednesday’s nap runs at the Borders track of Kelso and goes in the 13.52 contest, a handicap chase over an extended two miles and six furlongs.

13.52 Kelso - Russian Sounds

A quick glance at the field suggests that this will be a competitive contest. However, I'm still going to nap one and it goes by the name of Sounds Russian who, if his Sedgefield success last time is to be believed, could make a mockery of this.
He was an improving type up to that point anyway, brought along typically steadily by the very capable Ruth Jefferson in Malton. That patience paid off last time when he demolished a field at Sedgefield over two miles and five furlongs on ground officially described as soft.

He jumped well that day and he looks like he has a future in the sport. He still looks potentially well treated here, while a glance at his pedigree suggests that he should have no problem seeing out this extra furlong and a half.

So it's Sounds Russian to successfully follow up his Sedgefield win.
