March 31 Racing Tips: Ahoy Senor set for Hexham triumph?

Planet Sport’s tipsters select their favourites from cards at Hexham, Kempton, Ludlow and Southwell to end the month of March.

Fancy a midweek dabble? Planet Sport have a number of hot favourites from five of Wednesday's venues, with an early chance to increase your Easter kitty.

Lucinda Russell's Ahoy Senor has a great chance for success at Hexham on Wednesday during the Touring Caravan Sites Always Available Novices' Hurdle (3.10).

It will be a close call between the six lined up, but you could make a very strong case for the highly rated Ahoy Senor.

On his debut for Russell, he finished second in a bumper but stepped up in his first hurdle, having little trouble in beating an odds-on shot from the Stuart Crawford yard.

Cash Again has a chance to bring home a hat-trick of wins if he has success in the View Yarridge Heights Static Caravan Site Handicap Hurdle, accompanied by Richie McLernon (3.40).

Haslam claimed 7lb off him over this course and distance last time out over fences and he is 4lb higher, so technically he faces a difficult task having only won by a head.

Before McLeron's ride with Cash Again, in the Download The Ne-Bet App Today Handicap Hurdle he will be riding the highly anticipated Countister who is certainly worth watching (2.10).

Other fancies at Hexham include: 2.40 Casimir Du Clos, 4.10 Misscarlet, 4.45 Prince Dundee, 5.20 Bearhill, 5.50 Thunder In Milan.

Costly Diamond looks sure to go close in the And Wave Goodbye To Pain Handicap Chase at Southwell with the impressive Harry Skelton (1.15).

Gary Hanmer's seven-year-old has won her last two with William Shanahan, but Skelton is in for the chance of a hat-trick.

Skelton was booked by Olly Murphy for First Class Return last time out at this venue and it is no surprise the partnership remains intact as they try to defy a penalty in the Free Tips Daily On Handicap Chase (1.45).

Hob House is by Walk In The Park, the sire of Douvan and Jonbon, but out of a half-sister to 2020 Champion Hurdle winner Epatante.

The Ian Williams-trained Dragon Bones caused a 40-1 shock when she won her hurdling debut at Doncaster (3.50).

However, there was no fluke about it, as she had also run well in a red-hot bumper at Market Rasen, winning again in the Sky Sports Racing Virgin 535 Mares' Novices' Hurdle.

Others to keep an eye out at Southwell include: 2.50 No Risk Des Flos, 3.20 Soyouthinksoagain, 4.20 Shady Character.

Ballymoy has a chance in the Boyne Cup this Wednesday, with small fields being the order of the day (2.00).

It has taken him some time to get used to the fences, but he has some impressive form to his name, giving him a chance at further glory.

Other hot tips at Ludlow include: 12.30 Ordered Lives, 1.00 Master Work, 1.30 Dobryn, 2.30 Barbados Blue, 3.00 Chives, 3.30 Chef D'Equipe.

David Menuisier's Shouldering has a shot at the Unibet New Instant Roulette Novice Stakes this week after taking the crown at Sandown in only her second start (7.15).

Wednesday is a great opportunity to grab further success for the four-year-old.

Also keep a close eye on these chances at Kempton: 4.05 Stunt, 4.40 Mrs Benson, 5.10 Pinball Wizard, 5.45 There's No Danger, 6.15 Swiss Time, 6.45 Final Fantasy, 7.45 Shamaroon, 8.15 Au Clair Du Lune.
