Wednesday Leicester each-way racing tip: Razzo Italiano ready to spring another surprise
Our Tipstrr racing pundit has been scouring Wednesday's race card for each-way value, and thinks that a quick return to the track suggests optimism among connections of Razzo Italiano.
13:25 (Leicester) Razzo Italiano
Razzo Italiano has run twice on the soft conditions that are expected here, once on debut when finishing fifth of six, and once in November at Southwell, when he romped home by nearly four lengths for his only victory so far.
This is a tougher Class 4 race, and at first glance his last two outings do not look too promising, although he did end up a respectable enough fifth out of 10 runners last time out, despite being held up and not running too fluently.
Prior to that he did run poorly, and possibly that it was either down to the horse not liking the Uttoxeter track (two disappointing outings there), or down to the heavy conditions on the day, when he finished eleventh of 13, so we can perhaps give that one a pass.
Probability wise I would say the 50/1 price that i was able to get early doors was over-priced value, and moving further back and past the two recent disappointments, he won at 33/1 at Southwell, and that win also came after some bad prior form, so he's no stranger to springing a surprise at tasty odds.
He should be fit and ready for the challenge, with the first-time visor possibly adding an additional benefit, and with the trainer/jockey combination at 17%, I would say anything over 14/1 offers potential value here.
