Tuesday Kempton each-way racing tip: Ornate can outrun his price in Kempton sprint

A Tipstrr racing pundit has scanned Tuesday's racecard for outsider value and has picked out a horse might just be capable of out-racing his hefty price at Kempton this afternoon.

12:40 (Kempton) Ornate

Ornate makes the 143-mile trip to Kempton on Tuesday to run there for the first time in over two years, and is David Griffiths' only runner of the day at this track.

After finishing last in an eight-strong handicap last time out at Wolverhampton less than two weeks ago, things might not appear too bright for the ten-year-old.

However he was actually only seven lengths behind the winner that day after being forced wide on the home turn, and in truth he might well have finished much nearer the front there with a smoother run.

Jockey Phil Dennis takes the reins again after piloting Ornate to his last victory back in October at Chelmsford, which is also a right-handed track like Kempton.

That run was also the last time he was in the same quality Class 6 company he meets today, and along with a reduced mark he's now on a rating of 60, which is one pound lower than that winning run at Chelmsford.
Also, it should be remembered that it wasn't that long ago this horse was winning Class 2 and Class 3 races on the Poly surface, not to mention that he has also turned around bad form several times to win surprisingly at big odds in the past.
With that in mind, it should not come as a huge surprise if he did so again, and while clearly an unpredictable type, he looks great value at the moment at around the 20/1 mark.
Additionally, this jockey trainer combination comes with a 12% strike rate and they notably joined forces to land a whopping 125/1 winner in the shape of Endofastorm Newcastle at the beginning of the year.
There is no doubt that confidence will remain high in the yard coming into this, and betting wise, anything over 10/1 would be considered good each-way value
