Sunday's Stratford racing tips: Amadorio to get the best of bijou field

Planet Sport tipsters are at Stratford for one of the handful of Grand National hangover meetings on Sunday, March 10.

It must be tough being the meetings after the Grand National, surely everyone is exhausted by now? But at Planet Sport we think it's exactly the right time to have another flutter. The bookies' guard is down, they might be a little punch drunk after a three day Festival. It's time to give them another kick.

So here's a quick snapshot of our selections at Stratford on Sunday, you can get all the action and results from our live centre.

13:50 Stratford - Amadorio

14:55 Stratford - Game Socks

15:30 Stratford - Blue Collar Glory
16:05 Stratford - Goodnight Charlie
16:40 Stratford - Bay Of Intrigue

17:10 Stratford - Deans Road

13:50 Stratford - Amadorio

Amadorio only faces three rivals in the Find Winning Tipsters At tipsterreviews.co.uk Novices' Hurdle and can bag a first ever success.

The French import was actually well in touch on his penultimate outing in France in November 2019 when falling three out.
The winner of that race, Floueur, is now with Gordon Elliott and rated 141 having been sent off favourite for the Ultima at Cheltenham last month.

Amadorio fell again on his final outing in France before leaving to join Fergal O'Brien, but there was a 687-day gap before he ran again.

That was at Uttoxeter in a novices' hurdle, where his jumping left a bit to be desired but the excellent O'Brien will surely have worked on that in the interim.

14:55 Stratford - Game Socks

Game Socks can continue the excellent recent form of Dr Richard Newland when he runs in the Savage & Stride Wedding Celebration Handicap Hurdle at Stratford.

Newland is operating at a strike-rate of around 25 per cent at present, which is some going as we approach the dying embers of the season.
Usually most yards would find they have plenty of badly-handicapped horses come March and April, but Newland bagged 10 victories last month and is well among the winners again in the final month of the campaign.
Game Socks himself added to his impressive tally in March when winning at Fontwell, and he has only been raised 3lb for that one-length success.
It was his second outing since a wind op and it can take horses a run before they realise there is nothing stopping them anymore.
He is carrying joint top weight against some in-form rivals but as the youngest in the field, you would like to think there is more improvement to come from him than some of the others.
Fergal O'Brien and Paddy Brennan look like they could have a profitable afternoon.

17:10 Stratford - Deans Road

Tidal Flow holds good claims on these terms and the course winner warrants plenty of respect.
However, he might have to play second fiddle to Deans Road, who won in good style under these conditions when last racing under Rules back in May last year. Peacocks Secret has largely been consistent in recent starts and can also make his presence felt.
