Monday's Newcastle racing tips: True Mason can continue to improve in Tyneside

Hoping to start the new week well? Planet Sport's tipsters have you covered for all the evening action at Newcastle on March 28.

With a new week comes new opportunities, and there's plenty to be had this Monday with Planet Sport's tips for the racing at Newcastle.

Here's a snapshot of our tips for Monday, and you can follow all the action via our live Newcastle race centre.

17:30 Newcastle - Broken Rifle

18:00 Newcastle - Polyphonic

18:30 Newcastle - Phoenix Star

19:00 Newcastle - Bless Him

19:30 Newcastle - True Mason

20:00 Newcastle - Show Maker

18:00 Newcastle - Polyphonic

Giavellotto was a 100/1 winner over a furlong further on debut, a success that evidently took everyone by surprise. The second from that race has scored since, giving the form a very solid look, so he might be capable of proving that was no fluke.
However, he gives 7lb to Polyphonic in this and perhaps Karl Burke's charge can take advantage of that. A good second when last seen over this C&D in December, he could prove a little sharper than the first-named here.
Moonis was a fair fourth on debut over a mile at Kempton and may be better for the outing and the step up in trip.

19:00 Newcastle - Bless Him

David Simcock's eight-year-old has enjoyed a stellar start to 2022 so far, finishing second here in January, as well as a handful of impressive outings in Dubai.
Last time out Bless Him managed fifth in the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton, where a poor start left him too far back to land a late surge.
With a mark of 96 on his return to Gosforth Park, a better start could see him beat his rivals in the All Weather Championships Mile Handicap.

19:30 Newcastle - True Mason

Don't let one win in 34 starts scare you away from True Mason, who can definitely silence critics in the #BetYourWay At Betway Handicap.
The disappointing string of performances has seen his mark drop to 67, but a three-quarter-length defeat for the six-year-old 10 days ago at this venue was a huge confidence booster.
True Mason's improvements have been clear to see, and there's no reason why that can't continue being the case on Monday.
