Irish St Leger and Melbourne Cup still on the cards for Sonnyboyliston

Sonnyboyliston’s next race is still to be determined following his success at York’s Ebor Festival last week.
The initial plan had been to race him in the Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 2, but trainer Johnny Murtagh has hinted that the September 12 Irish St Leger may also be on the cards.
Murtagh has also said that Sonnyboyliston is recovering well after his recent excursions.
"He's in good shape. He came out of it well," said Murtagh.
"I spoke to the owners the other day. They're getting together, and they're going to make a plan of attack.
"But he's got home in one piece. He's good - he's a little bit tired, as you would imagine.
"But I put him out in the paddock this morning, (and) he seems pretty happy with himself.
"We're just waiting with the boys to see what they think. I told them what I thought."
Sonnyboyliston is 20/1 to win the Melbourne Cup with Planet Sport Bet.
