Sam Burns comes in off a triumphant win at the Sanderson Farm Championship and once again he is Jack Kelliher's number one selection for this week's tournament.
That was his second win of the calendar year following a three-shot success at May's Valspar Championship in Florida and Kelliher racked up more profits by selecting him at 16/1.
Kelliher tips Burns to continue his impressive recent form and grasp victory in Las Vegas.
"When Burns won the Valspar in early 2021 he finished in second the following week at the Byron Nelson. His stats across all key skill set areas improved. That's off the tee, around the greens and approach play.
"These are going to be key skill sets this week, and if he does the same again and improve just a little on where he left off last week, he is going to be a tough man to beat. I can't see him outside the places, and at 22/1, six points bigger than last week, he is the headline selection."
Next selection for Kelliher is Englishman Paul Casey, who is priced at 35/1 with Planet Sport Bet. Casey missed the cut in the 2020 edition and is out for redemption.
Casey, who played in Europe's Ryder Cup defeat, is seeking a first win of 2021 and Kelliher is confident he can challenge.
"He missed his cut last time, his only time at the competition before, but he is second in proximity to the hole over the last 24 rounds, he is second in approach play over the last 24 rounds, and I think he has a great driving game that will suit this course on a demanding driver test.
"Second selection of the week, 35/1 with Planet Sport Bet, Paul Casey."
The third selection is Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama. The Japanese golfer will be looking for his second win of the year following his stunning triumph at Augusta National.
Matsuyama comes in off of a sixth place finish at the Fortinet Championship where he closed with a 66.
"He was 10th here on debut, he finished sixth at the Fortinet Championship only two weeks back, he is a two-time winner on the bentgrass putting surfaces, and I think he is a player who has got more victories in him in the 2021/22 season.
"He is the Masters winner, he is a major champ, Hideki Matsuyama at 28/1, will be my third selection of the week."
Kelliher's final selection of the week is a huge outsider at a price that you will not want to miss. Available at 225/1 is Mark Hubbard.
"He has got two top 10s in his last five events; he sits in the top 30 in birdies gained and putting over the past 24 rounds on tour.
"He will be a player that not many of you will be familiar with but I think he has an outside chance of a place payout this week. Mark Hubbard at 225/1."
