DP World Tour news: Thorbjorn Olesen cruises to Thailand Open title

Thorbjorn Olesen won the Thailand Classic in Bangkok by four strokes on Sunday, earning his seventh DP World Tour title in the process.

The Dane took a two-shot lead into the final round and birdies at the first, second and sixth sealed a fine display of front-running.
The 33-year-old cruised home with a bogey-free 66 putting him 24-under for the tournament, well clear of Germany's Yannick Paul who finished on 20-under after a final round 68.
"It's very special... obviously the British Masters win was incredible, with my family, and it had been a long time since I won the last time," Oleson told the press afterwards.
"But equally this one, all the hard work and all the sacrifice from my wife. It's really nice. It felt really good today, felt steady, I felt like I was in control and I just enjoyed playing golf today, which was very nice."
Joost Luiten and Alexander Knappe shared third place a further two shots back, while Olesen's fellow countryman Oliver Hundeboll made a hole-in-one at the par-three 13th.
Dale Whitnell was the best-placed British player, taking a share of ninth place on 15-under after a final round of 71.
