Poland Darts Masters results: Luke Littler sets up Peter Wright quarter-final clash

Luke LIttler reaches World Darts Championship final

Luke Littler progressed to the quarter-finals of the Superbet Poland Darts Masters with a 6-4 win over Adam Gawlas in Gliwice.

Making his debut in the tournament, the 17-year-old top seed raced 5-1 ahead but had to fend off a fightback from Gawlas to set-up a showdown with Scotland’s Peter Wright.

Michael van Gerwen opened the defence of his title by making light work of Karel Sedlacek with a 6-1 victory that sets up a last-eight appointment with Boris Krcmar, who upset Nathan Aspinall.

World Champion Luke Humphries joined Van Gerwen in the next round with another routine win, toppling Gyorgy Jehirszki 6-1 in the last contest of the evening.

Home favourite Krzysztof Ratajski, the Polish number one, was crushed 6-1 by Masters champion Stephen Bunting.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the competition that will earn the winner £20,000 take place on Saturday.
