Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen progress to German Darts Championship finals day

Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen booked their places on finals day of the Interwetten German Darts Championship in Hildesheim on Sunday.

Two-time and reigning world champion 'Snakebite' was trailing 4-1 against local fancy, Martin Schindler, before storming back to win 6-4 - including a 156 checkout, while van Gerwen was also held at 3-3 before racing clear to victory with a 104 average.
Elsewhere, St Helens favourite Dave Chisnell snatched a dramatic deciding leg victory over home hope Gabriel Clemens to set up a Sunday showdown with Michael Smith.
Wright will now take on Krzysztof Ratajski in the last 16, after the Pole claimed a 6-3 win against Jamie Hughes, and 'Mighty Mike' van Gerwen will meet Martin Lukeman, who hit five 180s in a thrilling victory over Damon Heta.
Mensur Suljovic whitewashed Callan Rydz 6-0 in a highlight from Saturday's games and will now take on Jonny Clayton, who beat Scott Waites 6-2, while another pick on Sunday sees Joe Cullen take on Daryl Gurney.
