Grand Slam of Darts: Thursday match schedule as Michael van Gerwen battles for quarter-final spot

Grand Slam of Darts action continues on Thursday night with four spots in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

Last 16 action delivered plenty of drama on Wednesday as Gary Anderson knocked out rival and bookies favourite Gerwyn Price.

The Scotsman turned back the clock and delivered a superb display to bag the 10-6 win in Wolverhampton.

James Wade, Luke Humphries and Josh Rock also secured their place in the quarters on what proved to be an exciting night of action.

The drama is expected to continue on Thursday as eight players look to stay in the running for the £150,000 prize and the Eric Bristow trophy.

American underdog Stowe Buntz will be looking to continue his impressive run when he takes on Andrew Gilding.

Danny Noppert, who progressed through the group stage without a single loss, will share the stage with Stephen Bunting.

One of the games of the night, however, sees Michael van Gerwen take on Damon Heta.

The Dutchman was tested against both Rob Cross and Martijn Kleermaker in the group stage – winning both matches by a single leg.

Heta, on the other hand, came through a nail-biter against Beau Greaves in his group decider on Tuesday.

The final match of the night also has the makings of a classic as Nathan Aspinall takes on Rob Cross in an all-English affair.
