Gordon Mathers and Haupai Puha finalise field for World Series of Darts Finals

Gordon Mathers and Haupai Puha are the final players invited to compete in the 2022 Jack's World Series of Darts Finals, with the field confirmed for this month's Amsterdam event.

Australian thrower Mathers enjoyed a run to the semi-finals of August's Queensland Darts Masters, as well as competing in the New South Wales Darts Masters and New Zealand Darts Masters.
The PDC Tour Card Holder's victories over Michael Smith and Fallon Sherrock in Townsville helped to earn him the inaugural Kyle Anderson Trophy for his efforts Down Under as the most impressive performance by an Oceanic player in the recent treble-header.
Meanwhile, New Zealander Puha has secured a World Series Finals debut, having compete in both Townsville - where he overcame Jonny Clayton - and Wollongong last month.
Taking place at AFAS Live in Amsterdam from September 16-18, the World Series of Darts Finals will see a field of 24 global stars in action.
An internationally diverse line-up will see players from Europe, North America, Oceania and Africa descend on Amsterdam for what promises to be an exciting weekend of action.
A £70,000 prize awaits the winner, with the world's top three Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen among the favourites for the title alongside defending champion Clayton.
Dimitri Van den Bergh is the top seed thanks to World Series event wins in Copenhagen and Amsterdam, with Michael Smith, Clayton, James Wade, Joe Cullen and Gary Anderson also seeded courtesy of finishing in the top eight on the 2022 World Series Order of Merit.
That news means that Wright, who missed the August treble-header to undergo surgery to remove his gallbladder, is not seeded and will be in action in the first round on Friday September16.
American duo Leonard Gates and Danny Baggish are in line for World Series of Darts Finals debuts, while Canada's Matt Campbell and South Africa's Devon Petersen will also feature.
The tournament will be broadcast live on ITV4 in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding subscribers based in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Tickets are available through ticketmaster.nl.
