European Darts Grand Prix news: Adrian Lewis sets up Jonny Clayton clash in Stuttgart

The top 16 seeds at the European Darts Grand Prix enter the second round as Adrian Lewis looks to upset the current Premier League leader.

Two-time world champion Lewis was forced to come back from 4-1 and 5-2 down as he sealed his place in the second round with a dramatic 6-5 victory over Luke Woodhouse.

Jackpot will now turn his attention to world number nine Jonny Clayton - an opponent who he has enjoyed recent success against, winning three of the last five encounters.

Another former darting heavyweight to make it through the opening round was Dutchman Jelle Klaasen.

The former BDO world champion averaged 95 as he picked up an impressive 6-4 win over Callan Rydz. Next up for Klaasen is a clash with another former world champion, Rob Cross.

The highest average in the opening round was set by Adam Gawlas who posted figures of 100.30 in his 6-3 victory over Ryan Joyce. The Czech player will now turn his attention to Ryan Searle.
