The 30-year-old known as 'The Titan' claimed his second ProTour title of the year after thrashing Clemens 8-0 in the final of Players Championship 18.
The Dutchman, who followed up his recent run to the Dutch Darts Masters final in style, bagged the £12,000 prize in the first of four successive events in Barnsley.
Van Duijvenbode averaged over 100 in five of his seven victories on Friday as he powered to his third career Players Championship title.
The player's devastating run culminated with an outstanding showing in the final, which he kicked off with an imposing 11-darter.
Van Duijvenbode raced to a 3-0 lead in a blink of an eye as Clemens failed to get a single shot at double.
When the German Giant eventually earned his shot at a finish, he failed to pounce on the rare opportunity and was immediately punished as his Dutch opponent moved halfway towards victory.
A scintillating 122 finish moved Van Duijvenbode 6-0 up as his opponent appeared to lose all hope. From then on, the world number 14 cleaned up the match in style and won the next two legs to seal the 8-0 victory and wrap up the title.
The result puts the Dutchman in good stead ahead of the World Matchplay, which is just over a week away.
Van Duijvenbode's best performance in Blackpool came in 2021 when he reached the last-32 stage. His best performance in a major televised PDC tournament, on the other hand, was a run to the 2020 World Grand Prix final.
However, with the Titan in devastating form, and the top seeds falling short of the mark in recent weeks, many will certainly have Van Duijvenbode as their outside choice for the Phil Taylor trophy.
