2022 US Darts Masters: Draw, schedule, prize money and preview for the ITV-televised event

The PDC’s World Series of Darts returns this weekend as eight of the best darts players in the business take on their North American counterparts in New York City.

The darting roadshow is heading across the Atlantic as 16 players fight for the £20,000 prize at the Hulu Theatre in Madison Square Garden. 

Over the decades, the MSG has hosted some colossal events. However, for the first time ever, some of PDC's biggest stars will walk in the same corridors as the likes of Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis.

The two-day tournament is the first of seven events on the World Series of Darts calendar - a tour which faced a number of Covid related disruptions over the last couple of years.

Who is involved in the US Darts Masters?

The eight PDC superstars who are heading to the Big Apple are Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright, Fallon Sherrock, James Wade, Michael Smith, Gary Anderson and Jonny Clayton.
North America will be represented by their four Tour Card holders in Jeff Smith, Danny Baggish, Matt Campbell and Jules van Dongen. They will be joined by four qualifiers in David Cameron, Leonard Gates, Danny Lauby Jr and Doug Boehm.

What is the format for the US Darts Masters?

The first round of the event will pip Europe's PDC superstars with their American counterparts.
From then on, it's a race to the final through the knockout format.
First round games will be a race to six legs. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will all be contested in a best of 15 legs format.

What is the schedule for the US Darts Masters?

First round games will take place on Friday, June 3.
The remainder of the tournament, including the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, will all take place on Saturday, June 4.

How much prize money is on offer at the US Darts Masters?

The total prize pool at the US Darts Masters is £60,000.
The winner of the event will take home £20,000 while the runner-up will earn £10,000.
Semi-finalists will get £5,000 while quarter-finalists will bag £2,500. However, a first-round elimination with leave a player with just £1,250.

Who won the last edition of the US Darts Masters?

Nathan Aspinall went all the way during the last US Darts Masters event in 2019.

'The Asp' beat Canada's Shawn Brenneman 6-2 in the opening round before taking out Rob Cross in the quarter-final.

The Englishman then averaged 104 in a tense 8-7 victory against Peter Wright.
In the final, Aspinall raised his game even further as he powered to an 8-4 win over Michael Smith with an impressive 106 average.

Where can I watch the US Darts Masters?

PDC TV will have full coverage of the event across their platform.
ITV will also broadcast the event, but due to the timings, the channel's coverage will be delayed.
