India vs England first Test day two: Tips and suggested bets

England have it all to do on day two of the first Test against India in Hyderabad, it looks like the bowlers are in for another long day in the field.

There were a few encouraging signs for England early in the Test match against India but by stumps on day one the hosts appear to be firmly in the driver's seat.

Yashasvi Jaiswal took to spanking England's Tom Hartley all over the park as he out-bazballed the English to put India on top at 119 for 1 in response to 246 all out from the tourists.

With an average first innings total of more than 400 at the ground, England appear to be severely short on runs in their first dig.

India vs England first Test day two: Suggested bets

If you are someone with unwavering faith in Stokes' troops and still think they can win this Test match, the good news is you can get generous odds on that happening.

After the start he made Jaiswal offers good value at both tonning up and going beyond 150 with the pitch not offering much to the England bowlers and the opener looking like he will have no problem restarting on the second morning having already bagged himself 76 runs in the 23 overs India had to face in the evening session on day one.

For Shubman Gill it is a massive occasion to play on a ground that means a lot to him having grown up in the area.

Gill might be able to channel those emotions to power to a hundred as well. With Gill and Jaiswal at the crease, lovers of attacking Test batting could be in for a real treat on the second morning.

Jack Leach looks like he will be getting through a mountain of work as the only bowler to create any sort of pressure on the home side's top order.

Leach is likely to be both the next England bowler to take a wicket as well as the top wicket-taker for them in this innings and the match.

Suggested bets:

Jaiswal to score 150 - yes

Gill to score a hundred - yes

Leach next wicket taker

For the optimist - England to win 8/1
