Australia will start day two of the second Ashes Test at Lord's on 339 for five after 83 overs. See our suggested bets for the second day's play.
England have their work cut out for them on what is likely to be another difficult day of cricket at Lord's in the second Ashes Test against Australia.
Steve Smith over 149.5 at 7/4
Steve Smith is starting to look like the same batter who dominated the English four years ago. He will be looking to score big with a 'daddy' hundred.
The Australian batter currently sits on 85 not out overnight and will have recent memories of a century against India in the World Test Championship final in the back of his mind. The odds of Smith not scoring a century currently stand at 5/2.
Australia to score between 460 and 490 at 10/3
Let's assume Smith tons up and Alex Carey chips in with a half-century - the rest of the batting order would only need to score something close to their career batting averages in Tests for the Aussies to post a total just over 460.
The English bowlers have not made full use of overhead conditions. However, it would not be impossible for them to pull things back slightly if they start well in the morning session on day two. Betting on Australia to score under 460 would be at odds of 5/4.
Next wicket of dismissal - bowled - at 3/1
The pitch offered swing and seam for most of day one for the hosts. If the English bowlers can keep the ball in the right areas for long enough, they could bring the stumps into play in beating the batter for movement off the pitch.
The missed chances in the slips cordon and Jonny Bairstow being somewhat unreliable behind the stumps will not help the case for caught being the next dismissal at 1/2, despite the ball doing enough to induce the edge on numerous occasions.
