Rajasthan Royals star Riyan Parag pleads with rivals for IPL playoff favour

Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Riyan Parag has pleaded with Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad to do them a favour in order to qualify for the playoffs.

Riyan Parag has taken to his social media account to ask for favours from IPL rivals as they look to secure a Playoff spot.
This follows Royals four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings won Friday night in Dharamsala, which kept their hopes alive in the race to secure an IPL 2023 Playoff spot.

Parag's young teammates and specialist batsmen Devdutt Padikkal [51 in 30 balls] and Yashasvi Jaiswal [50 in 36 balls] smashed half-centuries to help their side chase down a target of 188, doing so with only two balls to spare.

Now Royals will be banking on Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians to lose their final league games on Sunday, with the 21-year-old Parag taking to social media to plead with their opponents.

"GT and SRH please help us out a little now," Riyan tweeted after RR's win over PBKS.

GT and SRH please help us out a little now🥺 #RRvsPBKS

Parag will be hoping his team qualifies for the next stage of the tournament so that he can try to add to his only half-century in the IPL [56 off 31 balls], scored against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2022.

The Faf du Plessis-led Bangalore are set to host Hardik Pandya-led defending champions Gujarat Titans at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, with the Aiden Markram's Sunrisers set to face Rohit Sharma's Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium.
Both fixtures are scheduled for this Sunday.
