Rahul Dravid takes great satisfaction after India rally from opening loss to beat England

India head coach Rahul Dravid took satisfaction at how his side rallied from losing the series opener against England to win the last four Tests.

England claimed a famous triumph in Hyderabad but an India side who were unable to call upon several regulars, including star batter Virat Kohli for personal reasons, bounced back in style.

While England had their moments in the next three Tests, India won the crucial battles and the hosts put an emphatic stamp on the series with an innings-and-64-run win inside three days in Dharamsala.

A 4-1 series victory was enabled by star turns from a trio of youngsters in opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, the player of the series, number three batter Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel.

"We lost the first Test match, had to bounce back from there, had to do it with a slightly different team to the one that we probably expected to start the series with a few months ago," Dravid said.

"To be put under pressure at various stages and then to be able to bounce back from that, it does make you feel really proud and happy for the way the team's evolved, the team's grown.

"At pressure situations we've really found people to step up. This was a hard-fought series and I just want to enjoy this."
