Matt Milnes makes 'tough decision' to leave Kent for Yorkshire; Rory Burns released

Yorkshire have continued their rebuilding for next season with the signing of paceman Matt Milnes from Kent.
With all-rounder David Willey, wicketkeeper-batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore and seamer Steve Patterson all leaving Headingley at the end of the season, the White Rose needed reinforcements.
They have handed Milnes, formerly of Nottinghamshire, a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old said: "I have had four happy and successful seasons with Kent, and I will always be grateful to Paul Downton, Matt Walker and my team-mates for their support over the years.
"It was a tough decision, but this feels like the right time to embrace a new challenge.
"I am excited by the prospect of joining Yorkshire and working with Ottis (Gibson) and his coaching staff. Hopefully, this will help me improve and push on to higher levels."
Rory Burns released for Royal London Cup action
Rory Burns, meanwhile, has been released from the Oval Invincibles back to Surrey to compete in the Royal London Cup instead of The Hundred.
The Oval Invincibles can recall Burns from Surrey, but will not be making a replacement as he had one of the spots allocated to a centrally contracted player.
Burns had been part of the Oval Invincibles squad in 2021 but did not take to the field for any matches, but has played 68 T20 matches during his career with an average of 17.2 and a high score of 56 not out.
