4th Ashes Test day two betting tips: England looking to seize initiative

The new ball was only used for three overs before the close of play on day one at Old Trafford. England will be looking to make full use it on day two to wrap up the Australian innings quickly.

The Aussies' innings will resume on 299 for eight after 83 overs on what is predicted to be a partly cloudy day two in Manchester.

Next wicket dismissal - caught - 4/7

Chris Woakes and James Anderson ended the final few overs on day one. They'll be looking to extract some movement with the new ball in the hope that the tail-enders nick off. Mitchell Starc has had moments where he's played the ball with 'hard hands'. This could result in him chipping the ball to a fielder in the ring.
Another interesting bet would be on lbw as the next dismissal at 10/3. The innings has produced four lbw dismissals so far, with each coming from a different bowler.

Australia to score between 310 and 340 - 4/6

The Australian tail will want to keep England in the field for a while longer and add valuable runs. Some stern resistance could irritate the English and could push the tourists to a total above 330.
England are only two wickets away from ending the Australian first innings. They'll look to exploit the new ball to produce wickets nine and 10. Australia are at 5/1 to fall under the 310-mark.

Next man out - Starc - 10/11

The left-hander has not had a great time in first innings this series. He has only managed single-figure scores. He has already reached double digits here, but may not last much longer if he takes the same aggressive approach he showed in patches toward the close of play on the first day.
Australian captain Pat Cummins has been better with the bat than Starc. Cummins came close to a half-century with 38 and 44 not out at Edgbaston. He is at 4/5 to be next to go.
