Chris Billam-Smith vs Richard Riakporhe tips: Cruiserweight gold on the line in all-British showdown

Big time boxing is coming to the home of Crystal Palace as Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe clash for the second time on Saturday night.
The two men first met in 2019 at the O2 Arena as Riakporhe won a split decision. Since then, things have changed.
Billam-Smith has been able to shake off the loss and forge his way towards the world title.
The Gentleman won eight straight fights before defeating Lawrence Okolie for the WBO cruiserweight championship at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium in May 2023.
Riakporhe, meanwhile, has been busy extending his undefeated record. The Brit has stopped his last five opponents, including Dylan Bregeon in his latest outing back in November.
Since linking up with trainer Angel Fernandez, the 34-year-old has sharpened his offence and looks a dangerous force ahead of the weekend.
Riakporhe has Billam-Smith’s number having already prevailed against him and the Crystal Palace fan is sure to have plenty of support behind him at the home of the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Billam-Smith was somewhat below par in his maiden title defence against Mateusz Masternak.
The Brit was forced to come from behind and eventually won after the Polish challenger suffered a rib injury in the eighth round.
Riakporhe is the favourite in the betting and we’re backing the challenger to walk away with the WBO belt.
A win on points is the way to go in what should be a terrific all-British affair.
