The two men squared off last April with the Chinese fighter going on to hand Joyce his first professional defeat.

Zhang caused gruesome swelling on the Brit’s right eye which ultimately forced the fight to be stopped in the sixth round.

The 40-year-old not only picked up the WBO interim belt but also threw his name firmly into the world championship conversation.

Joyce was quick to activate his rematch clause and the Brit will now seek revenge as he looks to resurrect his own hopes of a future bout for world honours.

The 12-round heavyweight clash will take place on Saturday, September 23.

The venue for the big rematch will be the OVO Arena Wembley in London.
